Practical questions

What happens after I get in touch?

The practice team — led by practice manager Namita — responds the same business day. They confirm an appointment at the location that suits you, check your insurance cover or provide a self-pay estimate, and request any existing scans or letters so Mr Scarci can review them before you arrive.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Any imaging you already have (X-ray, CT or MRI — a disc, film or hospital access code), discharge summaries or clinic letters, a list of your current medications, and your insurance details if you are using cover. If you have none of these, that is completely fine — everything can be arranged.

Can I have a remote consultation?

Yes. Video consultations are available for patients outside London or abroad, and are particularly useful for reviewing existing imaging, second opinions, and follow-up. If a physical examination is needed — for example to confirm slipping rib syndrome — an in-person visit will be recommended.

Is there parking / how do I get there?

All five hospitals are well served by public transport, and most have nearby parking or drop-off. Full travel details for your chosen location are sent with your booking confirmation.

When it is an emergency — call 999

Sudden severe breathlessness at rest, coughing up blood, blue lips or fingertips, crushing central chest pain, fainting, or a section of the chest visibly moving the wrong way with breathing: these need an emergency ambulance, not an outpatient appointment.
