No. You can attend any of these consultation clinics without a GP referral. If you have a GP referral letter, bring it — but it is not a prerequisite. If you have private health insurance that requires a GP referral for reimbursement, your GP can issue one and this can run in parallel with your private booking rather than delaying it.
Any existing imaging (CT scans on a disc or via digital link, chest X-rays, MRI, PET scans), a list of current medications, your private health insurance details if applicable, and any relevant hospital letters or previous biopsy reports. If you send these ahead — by email to info@marcoscarci.co.uk — Mr Scarci will review them before your appointment, which makes the consultation significantly more efficient.
Yes. Patients regularly attend different clinic sites depending on convenience at the time. Your clinical notes travel with you. Simply specify your preferred location when booking each appointment. There is no requirement to use the same site throughout your care.
These five locations are outpatient consultation clinics. If surgery is recommended, the appropriate surgical hospital is discussed and confirmed at your consultation — taking into account the procedure required, your insurer's approved facilities, and your preferences. Surgery is typically arranged at sites with full inpatient surgical facilities within the HCA Healthcare UK, Bupa, or Imperial College network.
HCA Elstree has free on-site parking — the most straightforward option for patients driving. Bupa Cromwell has on-site car parking and is outside the Congestion Charge zone. Imperial Private Healthcare at Hammersmith Hospital has a Pay & Display car park on site, also outside the Congestion Charge zone. The Wellington Hospital and The London Clinic are in central/north London where nearby NCP car parks are the best option. All five locations are accessible by public transport.
Sudden severe breathlessness at rest, coughing up blood, blue lips or fingertips, crushing central chest pain, fainting, or a section of the chest visibly moving the wrong way with breathing: these need an emergency ambulance, not an outpatient appointment.
